I’d seen and heard of The Salvation Army, and when I saw Salvation Army Homes were recruiting it caught my eye straight away. To work for Salvation Army Homes and help transforms lives of vulnerable people is something that I wanted to be a part of.

Working at Salvation Army Homes, and in the People Services team, has helped me understand the operation behind the scenes and what it takes to transform lives. I get to speak to a lot of people in different roles and departments which helps build my knowledge in the housing sector, and there is something new to learn every day.

Working in HR can be very challenging at times and also very rewarding. There is something different every day and my position within HR plays a vital role in transforming employees working lives in a variety of ways, from starting their journey at Salvation Army Homes to advising and pushing them to be as successful as they can.

One of the benefits of my role is getting to speak to a range of employees who are doing amazing work, I love meeting those ambitious individuals looking to succeed.  

Being part of Salvation Army Homes makes me want to continue helping not only the business to succeed but also the employees, and making their working lives better, even in a small way.
