What Is Disability Confident

Disability Confident is a government scheme that has created a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and to take positive action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

Our Accreditation

Salvation Army Homes have been a level two Disability Confident employer since 2021 and we are currently working towards level three Accreditation.

Our vacancies are advertised with Disability Confident job boards such as Evenbreak, who match disabled candidates with inclusive employers. Evenbreak not only share our value of Inclusion but we also share a culture of hiring individuals with lived experiences.

All disabled applicants who meet the minimum requirements of the role as set out in the job description
will be guaranteed an interview. Reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process will be made to ensure that no applicant is disadvantaged because of a disability.
