Salvation Army Housing Association trading as Salvation Army Homes is delighted to announce that it has been upgraded to G1, the highest regulatory grading for governance, by the Regulator of Social Housing. This reflects the strength of our governance framework and our ongoing commitment to ensuring the organisation is governed effectively and transparently.
We have maintained our grading of V2 for financial viability and we remain financially strong and resilient. However, we recognise that our core focus on providing supported housing to society’s most vulnerable people, particularly in the current economic climate, brings inherent challenges and low operating margins.
Our consumer grading of C2 reflects the realities of our continuing journey to enhance customer services. We are committed to delivering energy-efficient, safe, and high-quality homes that meet our tenants’ needs, and we will work tirelessly to make further improvements.
We also recognise the invaluable support of our parent organisation, The Salvation Army. By working together, we are better equipped to meet our social purpose and provide essential support to those who need it most.
Salvation Army Homes CEO Lynne Shea, said:
“We are incredibly proud to have achieved a G1 rating as it represents our commitment to supporting our residents, our mission is to transform lives by providing safe homes and enabling people to develop their own potential within them
This rating has been achieved thanks to the hard work of our teams and the robust governance structures we have in place. While there is always more to do, we remain dedicated to delivering for our residents and supporting the most vulnerable in society.”
